Evercoat FIBER TECH® Reinforced Repair Compound

Evercoat FIBER TECH® Reinforced Repair Compound is a high-strength, advanced filler engineered for demanding structural and cosmetic repairs. Formulated with a proprietary blend of Kevlar® fibers, along with a combination of long-strand and short-strand reinforcement, FIBER TECH delivers exceptional durability, impact resistance, and long-term adhesion on a wide range of substrates.

Designed for professional body shops that require maximum strength and versatility, this reinforced filler excels on SMC, fiberglass, aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel, rigid plastics, and welded surfaces. It is the ideal repair solution for ground effects, spoilers, fenders, running boards, hoods, panel seams, weld repairs, and rust-damaged areas where traditional fillers may fail.

Its waterproof formula provides added protection in high-stress or exposed areas, making it suitable for marine, automotive, and industrial applications. Each unit includes Evercoat’s blue cream hardener for consistent catalyzation and reliable performance.

Surface Preparation

To achieve maximum adhesion and performance:

• Thoroughly clean and degrease the repair area with soap and water, followed by a mild solvent. Surface must be completely dry before applying material.

• Keep the repair area as small as practical to improve blending and efficiency.

• Use 40–80 grit sandpaper to remove paint, open the surface, and featheredge surrounding areas.

• Remove all contaminants, rust, and loose material prior to application.

Mixing Instructions

• Stir or mix the product in the can before dispensing.

• Knead the blue cream hardener before use.

• Add 2% hardener by weight (a ribbon from edge to edge across a 4″ diameter puddle).

• Increase hardener proportionally for larger puddles.

• Mix thoroughly until a uniform, streak-free color is achieved.

• Working time is 5–6 minutes at 72–80°F (22°C).

Application

• Apply in multiple thin layers using firm, even pressure.

• Do not apply in a single heavy coat.

• Build repair slightly higher than surrounding surface to allow for sanding and shaping.

Finishing

• Once cured, sand with 80-grit sandpaper to shape and contour.

• Finish with an Evercoat lightweight body filler or polyester finishing putty for a smooth, paint-ready surface.
